After you get yourself a cool coffee brewing device, it’s normal to start looking for products that go with it.
If you’ve read some of my previous posts, you should be aware that I’m a Chemex fan; so you shouldn’t be surprised that I decided to share a list of the best Chemex accessories.
I made sure to include reviews of useful items that will help you improve your coffee experience.
From Chemex warmers and heaters to aesthetically pleasing mugs and holders – you will find the best accessories that will make a great gift for yourself or someone else.

Best Chemex Accessories – Reviewed
If you are an owner of the Chemex coffee maker, there are quite a few accessories that can improve your brewing process and overall experience.
I made sure to include reviews of high-quality products that either I or my friends have had experience with.
That being said, here are the best Chemex accessories:

The Blue Horse cozy warmer is definitely one of the best Chemex accessories.
It may seem a bit silly when you first look at it (if you’ve never seen one), but it’s quite useful.
By fitting it onto your carafe, it will keep your coffee warm for longer.
Of course, you can’t expect your brew to be hot after a couple of hours.
Nevertheless, you’ll definitely notice a difference by using this neoprene product.
Your coffee will be warm enough to drink for about 40 – 50 minutes after brewing.
If you want to extend this period, you can wrap your Chemex carafe with aluminum foil and then place the cozy on top.
The downside of doing so is that you may block the window which lets you see the coffee level:
Aside from keeping your coffee warmer, this Blue Horse case protects your Chemex from breaking.
So if you’re clumsy in the early mornings when you make your brew, and you tend to bump the expensive Chemex carafe on kitchen surfaces, the cozy will provide the necessary protection.

The Hexnub cozy is less expensive and it does a pretty good job too, but I prefer the Blue Horse version.
I also like the latter’s looks better.
The grey one doesn’t have this cool screen and it’s harder for you to see how much coffee you got left in the carafe.
Nevertheless, my boyfriend likes HEXNUB cozy better. He’s into minimalist-looking coffee gear and the grey warmer suits his aestetic preferences better.
When it comes to size – use the Blue Horse’s sizing instructions. I have a 6-cups Chemex and its bottom half fits around 36 fl. oz. of liquid. So a medium would be a perfect fit.
With all being said, I definitely recommend getting this cool Chemex accessory for yourself or as a gift for a coffee lover who has this neat carafe.
2. Unibene Bamboo Chemex Filter Holder

This filter holder by Unibene, is a perfect accessory for a coffee enthusiast who makes pour-over and Aeropress coffee.
You can place your square Chemex filters and fit the Aeropress round ones at the bottom.

The filter dispenser not only convenient, but it also looks great when placed on the kitchen counter.
Nevertheless, if you have limited space available, you can attach the holder to the wall. There is a pre-drilled notch on the back of this Chemex accessory that will let you hang it on the wall with ease.
If you don’t own an AeroPress, you can get the less expensive Unibene holder, that has a slightly different design, as seen in the photo below:
It’s ideal for both square and round Chemex paper filters. However, it doesn’t have a notch on the back for a screw. So it can only be placed on the counter.
Before I move on to the next item on this list, I feel obligated to show you a few other filter holders for Chemex, that you may like better.
The first one is by the brand MIAO JIN and it’s made of stainless steel.

I’d say that the Unibene bamboo holder with the notch on the back is the best Chemex accessory when it comes to filter holders.
After all, it also fits my AeroPress round papers and can be attached to the wall.
But it all comes down to personal preference and needs.
That being said, a filter holder is a perfect Chemex accessory that will come in handy for all Chemex owners.
3. ParkBrew Chemex Lid

If you’re keen on keeping your Chemex coffee hot for longer, this lid will help you achieve your goal.
Especially if you combine it with the cozy warmer I mentioned earlier.
It’s made of BPA-free silicone and it fits the 6-, 8-, and 10-cup Chemex carafes.
It doesn’t let the heat escape, and it protects your freshly brewed coffee from dust.
Furthermore, it slows down the process of oxidation, which means that the coffee will keep its flavors for longer.
If you tend to finish up a whole batch within an hour, you’ll be able to enjoy your last cup while it’s still hot by using this silicone lid.
If you also have the aforementioned cozy in place, your brew will most likely be kept warm for up to 2 hours after brewing.
The cover is also pretty convenient if you tend to put your Chemex carafe in the fridge – the silicone lid will protect your coffee from adhering fridge odors.
The manufacturers say that you can pour the coffee with ease while the lid is still on.
Nevertheless, I would say that you should be careful when you’re doing that – hold onto it during your pour.
You might as well remove it and place it back after you’re done pouring.
It’s worth noting that even the original Chemex glass lid needs to be held when you pour the coffee in.
I don’t mind this as I’m used to doing the same with my old kettle.

Nevertheless, it’s a bit more expensive and, since made of glass, fragile.
However, it still does a decent job of preventing evaporation and keeping your coffee hot for longer.

It fits all Chemex carafes, so no matter if you have the 3, 6, 8, or 10-cup decanters, it will serve you well.
Overall a lid is for sure one of the best Chemex accessories that you should consider if you have a Chemex.
The silicone one by ParkBrew is pretty convenient, affordable, and durable, and I would recommend it to anyone.
4. Blue Horse Chemex Caddy Organizer

The silicone mat that it comes with is also an excellent addition.
You can place your Chemex carafe on top of it and the glass will stay put and better secured on the counter throughout the process of brewing.
You can also use the mat for drying purposes.
When it comes to the wooden unit – it looks great on the kitchen counter and it matches the Chemex collar perfectly.
The Blue Horse caddy holds everything well-organized and it’s clear that it’s been specially designed for Chemex owners.

I know that it might seem that this suggestion on the list is a long shot in a Chemex accessories discussion, but it’s actually an essential necessity for many Chemex owners.
The cozy and the lid will help you keep your coffee hot for longer, but there’s nothing better at doing that than this sturdy insulated thermal bottle.
The Chemex coffee that you’ve made in the early morning will still be hot in the late afternoon if you place it in this thermos right after brewing.
Reheating coffee is often associated with lowering its quality.
Therefore, if you want to make a bigger batch in the morning and have it throughout the day, you will need to store the coffee in a container that will let you enjoy your delicious Chemex brew hot.
Furthermore, if you’re a fan of making Japanese-style iced Chemex coffee, the Stainley double-wall insulated stainless steel bottle will keep your drink cold for long. The ice cubes won’t melt for hours in this bottle.

I do have one of these, but to be fair, if someone surprises me with another one, I’ll be more than happy.
I personally prefer this 10 oz. mug with handle compared to the double-walled one that you can see below:
Nevertheless, they both look pretty cool.
The glass Chemex mug is one of the best accessories that’s so nifty that it even makes your coffee taste better.

7. BESTINNKITS Coffee Warming Plate

A great way to keep your Chemex coffee hot for longer is by placing it onto a warmer plate after finishing your brewing cycle.
This unit by BESTINNKITS is one of the best products that you can get in addition to your Chemex carafe.
The stylish decanter will fit well onto the surface of the plate and will spare you some time on reheating your second cup.
This compact coffee accessory can also be used for keeping whatever you have in your mug hot for longer.
It’s compact and is activated by the weight of the item that’s placed on it. As soon as you sit your Chemex carafe onto the surface of the warmer, it will turn on.
Keep in mind that the device should be plugged-in in order to function. It’s also worth noting that it has a standard wall plug, not a USB one.
I have a friend who’s using this coffee heater/warmer.
She has a 6-cup Chemex and the carafe fits on the warmer plate pretty well.
A short while after brewing, she places it on top of the warmer, which gets turned on only after something’s been placed on it.
She said that it keeps the coffee hot for as long as she wants.
So I had to include this product in my Chemex Accessories list, as some of you may find it as useful as she does.
